hey just curious, isnt it hot under the long sleeves? i've seen many of the pics posted on BSX and everyone's in long sleeves. it's pretty darn hot under the sun aint it? pardon the cluelessness

Yes, it's hot. But long sleeves can save our elbows from cuts & abrasions if in an event of crash or wash out. But under big impact, long sleeve isn't quite euough. It's always safer to wear an elbow guard.

Long sleeve,is for firstly,safety,second is to prevent sunburns..

Some jerseys are vented...i.e. they have tiny holes like mesh in them and thus, they let the air escape and they dry very quickly. They are not hot inside. As a matter of fact, they are more comfortable to ride as you do not have the icky sensation of a soaking wet, drenched cotton t-shirt.

now what kind of long sleeves should i go for given my size?

currently i got a Fox MX XL jersey.. :rolleyes:

For your size, a US Large size will fit you. The US sizes are huge.

You could try various bike shops but very few of them bring in long-sleeved jerseys. Normally I also trawl through the Yahoo Singapore Auctions site and sometimes some rare gems appear.

Profile Asia. I went a couple of weeks back. Their Long sleeves fox jersey are going like less than 50. ^_^
