Some mtb cranks require locktite on the bolts.

Well, if you have the proper tools, take out the crank-arms, lube the spindle with good quality grease then put the crankarms back on. As Line7 said, sometimes the crankarms can come loose because the spindle bolts do not have Loctite on them but there can be other causes, like the one I stated above. If you have any doubts, or if you are not sure what you are doing, take the bike down to your LBS and they should know what to do.

if bearing spoil the whole crankset will wobble, sometymes square tapered cranks come loose.
