So... when my book is finally finished, please dun be surprised if you see your own pic in the book! Of course, sgcycling will definitely be mentioned in the book.

I look forward to reading your book Adrian. I must say that it is a very noble thing to do as no one has even contemplated writing a book about the cycling scene in Singapore. I cannot write for the life of me but if you need pictures about some early riding scenes and such, I will try my best to help

Thanks Alano, you are giving me pressure. I hope my book turns out as well or even better than you expected...

i think u can google some of the topics.. lots infos... or go national library or kinokuniya or borders and see quite a lot cycling books which cover ur topics...
if clubs in singapore,i think u may have to get permission from them b4 u can publish abt them.. i doubt cycleworx will let u use their name easily though...
anyway,it seems that u're just making use of people do all the work for u while u just go publish and sell the book?? (doubt will earn much though) correct me if i am wrong..
the ghost write supposed do research on his own and get paid so measly? research takes days and may need do interviews and stuffs and get paid 3-5 bucks per page og abt 50 pages? which calculated 120-150 the most? unless that person is very passionate abt cycling and willing to contribute so much of his time and effort,i doubt many people are interested in this project..
anyway to write this kind of book need to have ample cycling experience and know the community well and have passion for cycling!!!

I think "making use" is a bit strong a word to use. I do not think Adrian is going to take advantage of us. It sure ain't easy writing a book. Look at the big picture. A book about cycling in Singapore. Think of how marvelous that will be

Hi Adrian,
Jolie here. I've been out of action from cycling and sgcycling for a while, but logged in today after aeons and chanced upon your thread.
Do you have an editor for your project yet?
If no, may I offer my help -- my contribution to developing cycling in Singapore :)
My background:
I used to be a reporter, then an editor for newspaper.
But most important, cycling is one of my 3 passions in life
And I've been in your shop a few times, but not sure if met you.
Mostly dealt with the older man: Is that you or your father? My memory slips me...would you mind refreshing me on the name?
Thanks much.
If you'd like to take up my free offer, you can send me a PM.
I'll check it over next 3 days (Seldom surf anymore lah :) Not that I stuck up okie)
Aside: Hi there to all who know me and reading this. I haven't crashed out of action, just busy with work lah. yaya I know, no excuse
