there's some brown thing that look like rust on the rotor
just beside the place where the brake pad rub against
used hand to wipe it but cant
anyone know what is it?

its probably rust.

rust oxide can appear on rotor when riding in wet conditions, no way to prevent it. Leave it alone it's ok. U can clean with Alochol tabs where u can easily get from pharmancy.

If you cannot stand the oxide or v brake marks on rims, u should visit bata. :hehe:

yes it's rust. it's common :lol: u can turn to BATA if u cannot stand the rust. :hehe:

Maintenance will really help.
Try polishing off the unsightly brownie with Autosol, and keep to simple maintenance n see if u can hold that stain back. Whenever there's moisture on the bike, like wet trails or bike washing, wipe dry the rotor immediately.
Sometimes it'll work.

Use wire brush to remove the rust, clean it, then give it a coat or 2 of spray-paint in the colour u like. :)

All of these experienced riders have given some very good tips here. I will add this. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" Benjamin Franklin said that and it is very relevant in all we do everyday. In this case, always maintain your bike. Oil and lubricate it occasinally and take it for checkup every now and then. Your bike will give you years of enjoyment if you do just that.
