You gotta make sure your frame and fork are v- brake compatible and if i am not wrong, that setup is gonna go over yr budget.

have a look at brands like flybikes, animal, shadow conspiracy, federal.. just to name a few.. you should ask tinoghin auntie about building a street bmx if u want one..

just buy a higher end haro... the "forum" series is probly the best to go with.. forum intro if im not wrong at tionghin arnd 420... dont invest a lot in it until u know you are definetly gonna be staying in bmx coz trust me.. upgrading and fixing parts as they break costs a lot

is there anywhere online that has a review forum similar to the mountain bike one.. like www.mtbr.com
i found this one.. www.vitalbmx.com but not sure if its credible..
im trying to build one myself, but not really sure about the brands / costs and stuff..
and which shops stock alot of bmx parts? thinking of building a race bike, if the budget permits =)
thanks...

I thought the same thing in 1982.
Then the film ET came along and changed everything.
