As the heading states!
Just tell everyone here how you manage to get hooked onto cycling!
for me, it was because..
My best friend was an avid cyclist, everytime i called him he was cycling and all
I thought cycling was cool .. [ was still a lazy ass that time] and thought maybe cycling could attract girls! [ LOL]
and then one day i got my friend to teach me to cycle.. and when i did .. well i did.
then came when my mum's friend gave me a free giant DH bike and i got into trails.. and now im with the GT AVA, hooked onto trails!

Hmm..
I guess it was when i started from young.
The speed, thrill and risk.
I remember i saw my friend jumping up curb, and pavements.
I wanted to try too, and one day i went full towards a curb.
But, i didn't know that you HAVE to pull up and i was launched forward.
It was the most exhilarating moment i ever felt.
I also broke the connection between the head tube and the top tube, which from then i was banned from cycling by my parents.
They always thought i was too reckless and implusive.
But now i'm back because i just feel its my PASSION!
Thats my story so far.
 :towelcheer:

oh.. my school is like 2 km away.. but there is only 1 bus servicing that road. so the bus is freakin flood every morning and evening. i am also worried about theft. but i usually lock my bike in such a way that people are only able to sabo but not able to steal.

Mmmhh.........
Let me see,
1) fulfilling my childhood's dream. My dad objected cycling cos of risk on the road.
2) I run so i need alternative work out.
3) After i started, find it very enjoyable and really challenging in the trail
4) Now that my wife also start cycling, i think it is going to be difficuit to stop it anymore... :beardance:

I already liked cycling since young...like real young...however when my first bike (i.e. those small ones for 5years old got stolen...) i stopped.
Then my dad got me a urata when i was p4...stopped when it got too cranky...
Went on to kope my dad's hybrid (basically a mtb that cost $3k++ which he does not use it on off-roads)...very smooth gear-change and everything...it was so light i can lift it up with one little finger...that was in sec2...stopped when he sold the bike away...
Got hooked to speed because recently saw a Jap anime called 'Overdrive'. Its about road racing in Japan and somehow linked to Tour De France...Very good story development and of cos lots of humorous stuff inside...Strongly suggest every road cyclist to go and watch...u can watch it via
AnimeplaylistSearch for Overdrive at the website...definitely worth your time... B)

haha i used to hate cycling alot; although i enjoyed it.
because i used to think that cycling was not a very decent thing; like it was used by uncivilized people etc.
but of course it has changed; so please dont flame. XD
