 where r all the XC rider in SG?

i've been using this web for a few wks already
still quite new here as i can only start using my acc days ago
waited for so long..
i'm interested in doing XC as i like to go for speed but dun like road bike
any XC rider around too??
might be joining the tampines bike trail XC race on 19aug
any one wanna join too??

I think, you can only acquire speed in XC riding if you stay on the bike.
Off road riding requires some level of quick reflexes and techniques to handle speed, so take it easy first. Get the basic skills wired, test yourself with easier trails before blasting the real stuffs.

Leave Kent Ridge trail till later, if you're new to XC. cool.gif

dun like road bike but like speed?

do a hybrid setup... rd/xc kinda of setup...

i guess impt is gd running hubs... get xero if ur on budget.
gd rolling tyres helps too... semi slick

I got a friend who stays at tampines, he wanna ride that trail too.

I'm thinking of doing a basic trail bike clinic at tampines XC trail for newbies.
should cover areas especially on descend, pedal & foot works, berming (cornering) & not so much of climb as i'm not a climber myself.

i would like to see a show of hands before deciding on one. Please also understand that i may not be qualified to give the best riding techniques but it should help you out on the trail.

if the response is good, it will not be just me giving the tips. Johnny, my brother will be there to advise & giving riding tips.

Mostly importantly, it's free. that's about it. Bring your bike, get your gears, & we can go. laugh.gif

Sounds good. When will it be? Cos uni starting soon. When it does, life gets much busier.
